![]() ![]() For years, whenever I read 2 Corinthians 1:20 or sang a song about it, like, “ All God’s promises are YES and AMEN,” I attributed the YES and the AMEN to God. For today, I will give you just a few quick thoughts on this. I gave you so much in the first point that I will have to deal with this second point fully tomorrow. God can be trusted to do what He promised in your life!Ģ. believe that it is only a matter of time before you see what God said because God is faithful believe that every promise from God has a “YES” on it believe those plans come with a litany of promises connected to them in order to bring them to pass believe He made plans for you before the world began ![]() believe that God is, that He exists (Heb 11:6) To live an effective life of faith, you must: The text says, “ For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ” (2 Corinthians 1:20). Frustration sets in when your watch of expectation is not in sync with God’s clock of manifestation. So it’s not that God gave you a “NO.” If it is His will, tied to His promise, He has already provided a “YES.” Just know that His “YES” is connected to His timing. God’s promises will not manifest in your life before the right time. It’s just that the manifestation of God’s “YES” is tied to God’s timing. The text says that ALL of God’s promises come with a “YES” on them. Don’t confuse a misalignment with God’s timing to mean that God put a “NO” on His promise. I feel like I need to provide some clarification. You don’t have to wonder if God will do it. All God’s promises come with a “YES” from Him. Once you have a promise from God, you must believe His Word. Faith adds substance to your hope (Heb 11:1). Once you hear from God on it, or once you know that what you are asking for is clearly in alignment with God’s will in His Word, then you don’t have to hope and wish anymore. But it is not faith until you know what God said concerning it. Until you know what God has promised, until you have discerned God’s will, the best you can do is hope and wish. They then ask God to give them what they came up with, and they call it “faith.” The problem with this is that faith BEGINS where the will of God is known. Many Christians come up with selfish desires in their own hearts. At that point, since God is the one who is leading you to do it, you must believe that “it” (whatever you are being led to do) is already blessed. ![]() When you are doing something God called you to do, or He is leading you to do, you don’t have to ask God to bless it. That God’s promises are always “YES” in Him! Not only is faith convinced that God can, but faith is convinced that God will. Faith is what happens when God convinces us! Faith is the state we arrive at when we are fully persuaded that what God has promised, He is able also to perform (Romans 4:21). Faith is not about us trying to convince God to do something for us. God is also faithful to perform every promise God has given us directly, specifically connected to our divine purpose. God is faithful to perform every promise He has given us in His Word. God’s part (the grace part) is always yes. So what does this mean for you today? A few things.ġ. And as his “yes” and our “amen” ascend to God, we bring him glory! And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of Godįor all of God’s promises find their “yes” of fulfillment in him. Let’s go back to it again today and take a deeper look.įor no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. Here are some of the lyrics that I kept meditating on from that song: Yesterday I started a new series entitled, “ God is faithful!” I shared with you that Sunday, while I was in church, the worship team sang “ Yes and Amen” by Bethel music.
